About me

A naiad is a water nymph from Greek mythology—a spirit of rivers, lakes, and streams. I hardly think of myself as spiritual, but this water shoe fits.

I love to swim! I am not a fast swimmer or an endurance swimmer and I don’t really care about being those things. I just feel so at home in the water.

I also love adventures! I love exploring my city, my province, and, occasionally, the great big country and world beyond.

I’m a middle-aged woman with an imperfect body that made me afraid to do what I love for way too many years, and I want to show how swimming can and should be accessible for everyone.

I live in Toronto with my favourite human and travel companion.
